I just don't know where to start. The chaos happened at our site project in banting. I've been listening about a lot of problems at that site. The project has been postponing a few time. Then when we took over the project, it should be completed on december this year. But bcoz' of unexpected problem, the time had been extended to february 2009. Then it has been extended to april 2009. It all bcoz' of the SO, the man authorised by the project owner.
I guess all people involved in construction & development work understand that it's very common to do cheat a bit in their jobs.All people do that. I guess as long as the fraud won't do any harm, it's acceptable. But everytime we did this 'white lies', the SO will know but he was not at that site on that time. Everything was unacceptable by him. Everything we did was wrong on him. We can't figure out what went wrong & who was the 'hantu'. We called the traitor as 'hantu'.
Then yesterday my husband told me that he suspected the main-con's personnel. Main-con has put it's own staff there to supervise the job. At the same time, she also helped making report on our behalf since on that time our site clerk has resigned. Yesterday she told my husband she worked with the project owner, so she reported all the things happened at the site directly to the project owner. My husband was confused bcoz' he understand tthat she was working with the main-con & at the same time work for us (both main-con & my company paid her). So she was supposed to monitor the project & take good care of our 'kepentingan'. She should be 'counting' the SO so that the project went smooth. She should cover things that should be unrevealed, instead she revealed everything bcoz' she thinks that she was working with the project owner & it's her duty to report everthing, i mean everything.She said that based on contract, she has to work directly with the project owner. So for now we suspected that she was the project owner's spy & may be she also received allowance from them. My boss said, no wonder she was able to buy a new car (Myvi) a few months ago. She is a fresh graduate & his company only pay her rm1200 monthly. She worked there less than a year. With her salary, b4 deducting her house rental fees, petrol & toll expenses, she can't afford that car this soon except she got other income. Ermmm...
I not in the position to judge her but my boss is investigating this case. My boss didn't believe that she could do such thing but based on my husband & our site worker's story, she is the 'hantu' who had leak all the info. Until this date, she kept on insisting that she was working directly with the project owner & it was stated in the contract. But when i checked the contract, it was not there. The contract only said that the main-con should appointed a site agent to provide all necessary superintendence over the whole site operation to fulfill the contractor's obligation (completing the job). Other than that, none. If she was working with the project owner, why did she still received her paycheck from her first employer aka the main-con & at the same time received monthly allowance from us? Or may be she didn't understand the content of the contract as she is still new or may be she was confused with her tasks as b4 this she went practical training with the project owner & her task on that time was not the same with her task right now. It's really the opposite. I heard last friday she attended an interview with the project owner. What we was afraid now, she has been utilised without she realising it by someonelse, someone that has 'kepentingan' with that project as she's still 'green', fresh & lack of experience. I don't know....just wait until the investigation finish.
